The First Avenger Faces the Ultimate Predator in a WWII Horror Nightmare

The genre mashup you never knew you needed is back for its second terrifying chapter, and it is proving to be one of the most effective crossovers Marvel has published in years. While the idea of Captain America fighting a Xenomorph might sound like pure fan-fiction on paper, Alien vs. Captain America #2 leans hard into the grit and terror of the concept, delivering a war story that feels like Band of Brothers meets Aliens. This isn’t a superhero brawl; it’s a desperate survival horror set in the trenches of World War II, and it is absolutely gripping.

Writer Frank Tieri wastes no time raising the stakes in this issue. We find Cap, Bucky, and the Howling Commandos deep behind enemy lines, infiltrating a Hydra base that has gone silent. The twist, of course, is that the Red Skull hasn't just found a new super-weapon; he has uncovered a nest of biological nightmares that he can't possibly control.
